16” Ash and Goat Eco Print  Drum
 
Crafted from a beautiful 16" Ash hoop with  Eco-printed Goat hide and Gidgee Wood handle.
 
Eco-printing is the process of transfering the natural dyes found in the leaves of the plant onto the skin of the drum.  This beautiful Ecoprint revealed the Roo spirit, can you see the Kangaroo face in the drum?
 
The weaving on the back of the drum is created using leather lacing.
 
This Liquid Amber Eco printed drum offers the gifts of Autumn, the acorns beneath the fallen leaves, reminds us that beneath the things that we have outgrown, there are gifts to discover.  It asks us to find the silver lining in all life experiences, remembering that all of life is happening for us.  That evern in teh most intense experiences, the ones that seem heavy, that weigh us down, have something to offer.  Look back at what you have cast away as "bad" and open your heart to receive the gift or treasure that it offers you.  This drum is about evolution, the chrysalis of the butterfly or moth, the cicada that lives in the earth in preparation.  All of life holds the divine blueprint, the journey of moving from forgetting to remembering.

Gidgee wood handle. Gidgee is part of the Acacia or Wattle family.  The wattle flower means renewal, fortitude and pureness. It is an emblem for immortality of the human soul. Gidgee grow in harsh arid climates, they are one of the hardest woods in the world, as such Gidgee wood reminds us of our strength as we persevere through the toughest of times.

All drums undergo a traditional awakening ceremony!  The ceremony breathes life into the drum, it is also offered to Mama Earth and Great Spirit as a tool for healing and connection to the energy that flows through us all.
